OSCE Training on Migrant Integration

On 3-4 November 2016, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR) in cooperation with the Secretariat of the State Commission on Migration Issues and the Ministry of labour Health and Social Affairs is conducting training on migrant integration issues, hosted by the Tbilisi Public Service Hall. The representatives of the state institutions – members of the SCMI Working Group on Aliens’ Integration as well as other international and non-governmental organizations are attending the training.

The training is focused on human rights and is aimed to facilitate the effective implementation of the OSCE obligations undertaken by the member states in the field of migrant integration as well as raising awareness of the civil servants and NGOs in the field of migrants (and refugees) integration.

The training will cover the issues such as the concept of migrant integration and the OSCE obligations, civil and cultural integration of migrants/refugees, access to the labour market and to the education system in receiving country, citizenship issues, etc.

OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights has been regularly conducting the above-mentioned activities in the OSCE member states.
