Study Results on Temporary Labour Migration in Poland and Estonia

On June 28, 2016, the Public Service Development Agency hosted a meeting co-organized by the International Organization for Migration Georgia Mission and the SCMI Secretariat, where results of the studies carried out in the framework of the project “Piloting Temporary Labour Migration in Poland and Estonia” were presented. The studies were focused on employment opportunities of Georgian labour force at the labour markets in Poland and Estonia, and identifying professions-in-demand in these two countries. The presentations on the study results were made by IOM consultant Emilia Malys-Zaremba and IOM expert Tsiuri Antadze, while Natia Kvitsiani, the project manager, informed the audience about the programme and activities planned to be conducted in the framework of the project in the nearest future. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the state agencies – members of the SCMI, local employment organizations and the embassy of Poland in Georgia.

The project “Piloting Temporary Labour Migration in Poland and Estonia” financed by IOM’s International Development Fund (IDF) is being carried out by IOM Georgia Mission with its partners the members of the SCMI. The project started in 2015 and will last until 2017.
