Training on ID Document Fraud Detection

On 23 December 2015, Tbilisi Public Service Hall hosted the training on ID document fraud detection for the personnel of territorial offices of the Public Service Development Agency, Public Service Halls and Community Centres, co-organized by the Secretariat of the State Commission on Migration Issues and the International Organization for Migration.

The training was the final part of the continuing efforts that PSDA has made this year, directed at capacity-building of the state services in recognizing authenticity and potential fraud when processing ID and international travel documents. When selecting the training participants, the main accent this time was made on Kakheti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions.

Training participants underlined importance of the topic in the light of visa liberalization with EU and Georgia’s increasing attractiveness in the region as a country of destination and transit. The training was held in the framework of the EU-funded More for More project.
