OSCE Training on Migrant Integration

On 30th June - 1st of July, the Secretariat of the State Commission on Migration Issues and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR) will jointly organize training on migrant integration issues, which will take place in Tbilisi Public Service Hall. The representatives of the state institutions – members of the State Commission will attend the training.

The training is focused on the human rights issues and is aimed to facilitate the effective implementation of the OSCE obligations undertaken by the member states in the field of migrant integration as well as raising awareness of the civil servants in the respective fields.

The training will cover the issues such as the concept of migrant integration and the OSCE obligations, reunification of migrant families in receiving country, access of migrants to the labour market and to the education system in receiving country, citizenship issues, etc. The training will be held by OSCE/ODIHR experts.

OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights conducts the above-mentioned activities in the OSCE member states on an annual basis. Last year the similar training was held in Armenia and Baltic states.
